My Octopus Teacher is the visually engrossing story of how a diver came to understand the world of an octopus living in the kelp forests outside his home in Cape Town. Two presentations will explore some unique and fascinating themes around the idea of observation captured in the film from a child psychoanalytic psychotherapy perspective. This discussion will be an opportunity to explore ideas about the role of the observer participant and what we all might learn from our teachers.
